Bitmapconv is a tool to convert a suitable bitmap into a suitable image
for making your Babyz toyz filmstrips.

Sphinx had this program made a couple of years ago, and even though she's
left the babyz Community, she has now decided to let us all have it!
Note that the program _is_ old, and Sphinx is no longer in touch with the
programmer, so if you have problems running it there is nothing she can do
about it. There is nothing I can do about it either, sorry.

Notes from Sphinx herself, at the time when this program was made:
===================================================================

The closet filmstrips of all my birthday downloads are made by taking a picture
of the item, pasting into paint shop, making it the right size and flipping
it upside down, and then running the bmp through this program. Produces a
babyz-type still image with all the correct hex values :) Then you just
whip out the cupboard image in the file, whip in the new one (which is
the same size, being the same dimensions) and hey presto, items that
show up in the cupboard :)

So, how to use BitmapConv.exe:

1. Run the program -- run it in any directory.
2. Select your bitmap (made as suggested above -- remember it must be upside down).
3. Click on convert.
4. It saves a file with a .baf extension into the directory. That file is in babyz
   hex colours. I usually use a different colour for the background and do a
   manual search and replace to make it transparent.

Notes:
======
Use the babyz palette when making images (grab it off the hex colours bmp)
otherwise it will give you errors when trying to convert the image.

Remember to flip the image so it's upside down.

Transparent colours don't work. Paint the backround a nice garish colour
you haven't used, make a note of the hex value of that colour, and do a
replace all with FD when looking at the output in a hex editor.

Outputs bmpname.bmp.baf

Have fun :)
